It’s easy to slip into the habit of spending Sunday dreading Monday. I have spent years doing this. Recently I’ve found better ways to cope with the Sunday blues. Here are my tips for making the most of the weekend and setting yourself up for a good start to the week.

🌳 Get outdoors. If you’re about to spend the week in front of the laptop or in the office use Sunday to soak up some fresh air. Even just a nice walk with the kids.

🥗 Do the ‘big shop’. Stock up what fridge and cupboards with healthy food options for the week ahead.

✅ Set yourself some small goals for the week. Eg eat more veggies or set a step goal count.

🏃🏻‍♀️ Plan your exercise or workout days. Book your classes or block out the time in your diary.

🥪 Think about getting your lunch made the night before. Even if working from home I advocate making a packed lunch and putting it in the fridge, means even if work is crazy busy you have something nutritious to reach for.

😴 Go to bed early! Aim to wake up refreshed on Monday morning by making sure you allow 7-9 hours of sleep.

Try and see Monday as an opportunity. It’s a clean slate. Smash those goals! 💪🏼💪🏼
